Stuffed Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
- 8 sausage patties (from sliced bulk sausage)
- 1 c dried bread crumbs or croutons
- 1/3 c chopped celery
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 2/3 c heavy whipping cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Directions
- Brown sausage patties lightly.
- Place four on bottom of greased casserole pan.
- Mix bread crumbs or croutons, celery, onions, salt, pepper and milk in a large bowl.
- Using a large spoon, scoop on a large dollop of the bread crumb mixture on each sausage patty in the casserole pan.
- Then add remaining sausage patty to the top.
- Pour mushroom soup over patties.
- Any remaining crumb mixture can be added to the top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
