Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick of unsalted butter) or 2 sticks if you want a softer cookie
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (If your peanut butter heavy in oil use the greater amount of flour)
- Hershey kisses or Reese dark peanut butter cups
Directions
Preheat over to 375. If making kiss cookies then unwrap hershey kisses for the top.
Beat until soft:
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
Add gradually and blend until creamy:
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Beat In:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Sift before measuring and add:
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (If your peanut butter heavy in oil use the greater amount of flour)
Roll the dough into small balls. Place them on a greased cookie sheet. Stamp the cookie with a fork dipped in water if not adding a Hershey kiss. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes at 375
Add one hershey kiss or Reese cup on top of cookie once pulled out of the oven.
