Hummus

Ingredients

  • 2 can chickpeas (drained)
  • 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c tahini
  • 1/3 c warm water
  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor.
  2. Whirl until a smooth and spreadable texture.
  3. When ready to serve, drizzle olive oil on top of the hummus and sprinkle with paprika.
  4. Serve with pita bread, crusty French baguette slices, carrots, celery or cucumbers.
