Broiled Oyster Appetizers

Ingredients

  • 2 dozen oysters
  • 1/4 c lemon juice
  • 1 T anchovy paste
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 strips bacon

Directions

  1. Wash and dry oysters.
  2. Combine lemon juice, anchovy paste, and Worcestershire in a lock-n-lock (or a sealed container); mix/shake well.
  3. Marinate oyster in mixture, shaking/stirring every hour and placing in refrigerator. for several hours.
  4. Drain oysters and wrap each in 1/2 strip bacon.
  5. Place in a deep broiling pan (2 to 3 inches), broil, turning once, until oysters are done and bacon is browned.
  6. Remove from broiler carefully as a lot of juice cooks out and my spill.
